And the Winner is...........Read On
I guess I have the answer that you have all been waiting for.......who is the winner of my first giveaway? I had so many interesting responses to the question that I posed "Who is your favourite Australian designer"? I have gathered from your replies that there are indeed some very talented designers in the land of Aus.......but didn't we all know that? I dont think that I could have chosen one person and neither did most of you. As I said at the beginning when I started this giveaway the results werent going to be based on your answers, it was all a matter of luck as I have drawn the winner's name out of a hat.
And the winner is.........Beth Dasecke. Beth can you please email me and let me know where to send your patterns to. I will send you a confirmation email just in case you miss this post. I was so impressed with all the responses and that each and everyone of you took the time to leave a comment. I am going to have 2 runner up prizes. Each of the runners up will receive 1 Rivendale pattern you can choose which pattern you like from the 3 Patterns offered as the 1st prize. Holly & Jolly....Sisters...or Bright and Beautiful.
So the 2 runners up are Lorraine "Granny Loz" and Christine "Kiwi" I will email you all separately to let you know the good news.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So is there anyone out there who would like another giveaway???
Now let me see what little twister can I pose to you all this time? Thinking.......thinking!!! So how do you feel about a mystery prize? I am thinking on my feet here.....I like to make it a bit of fun. Once again there will be no right or wrong answer it will be a matter of chance...all names into a hat etc...etc.
So to be in the running for this giveaway just pop over to my website Angels Come to Play and check out the Patterns section. Leave a comment telling me which pattern you would like to win. The winning comment will win the pattern that they chose. I will also have a mystery prize and that will be the pattern that has the most comments left for it. That pattern will become the mystery prize. It's getting late so I hope I havent confused you. So just to simplify things there are 2 patterns up for grabs with this giveaway. Good luck to all....cant wait to see which patterns win. I think I have a sneaking suspicion, but I am not giving away anything at this stage. BTW you can enter as many times as you like and previous winners can still enter.
The giveaway will run until 31st July 2008 and I will announce the winner on the 1st of August...horsey's birthday, and wattle day as well, or it used to be when I was little.
I am off to learn more about these Cupcake and Bag swaps that I have been hearing about from Granny Loz . As you all know I am new to blogland so I have lots to learn about what happens here. You can leave me a comment and let me know how they work.
I have to go and make some Child Friendly Cupcakes for an order....I have designed a new pattern for these and I will have it published in a few weeks. I havent used any embellishments on these cakes as they are meant for kids. Some of my other cakes have beads and other little goodies that just wouldn't be good for little kids.
This little cutey is made from sweet apricot stripe fabric with gorgeous textured minky fabric on top.
I made this little cake from a pretty little green background fabric, satin stitched scalloped sides and soft pink and white checked minky fabric.
I just love chenille and the top of this cake is made from a piece of vintage chenille which makes it a very limited edition.
If you haven't already worked it out I am Cupcake obsessed.
What do you think of a giveaway of some of my handmade cupcakes? Maybe I could run a competition in August for that.
Must be off and get this order done as I wont be getting any sleep until they are finished.
Happy stitching to all and may your Angels Come to Play with my Angels
:-)
Shelley

I perused the patterns and I think they are all winners but if I am forced to choose I'm going to say the Stitchers On the Run bag. I could really use something like that. The cupcakes are adorable and who wouldn't want to win one.
Thanks for your generosity.

It's hard to make a choice; but I've studied carefully and would have to say the stitch sisters range. It's a shame they're not in a book so that I could have them all. Oh, and the cupcakes are georgeous too!!

I had fun looking through your store. I loved everything, of course, but my favorites are the Rivendale patterns, especially the Small Treasures Quilt. Sooo cute. I love stitcheries.

Hi Shelley,
even if I have put myself on a giveaway diet I can't resist entering your's...I've absolutely no self-control ;o)
I think my favourite is your 'fun with cupcakes project book'...or rather the 'faux cupcake pattern' - as I already wrote, I simply LOVE anything 'cupcakey'...it's hard to decide...!!!???
Hugs, Julia
P.S.: didn't know Crab.apple Hill before, the Summer Pears are adorable! ;o)

Hi Shelley, My daughter of 11 years has asked me to enter her favourite patterns in your giveaway. She has been 'shopping' on your site for a while today and has fallen in love with Phoebe, the delightful elephant of Melly and Me, and Mrs Perkins, the adorable giraffe by the same designer. I think it is too hard to decide between the two, so if luck has it and Chelsea wins the draw, you'll need to toss a coin for her!!!! Sandy

Wow I've spent AGES trawling your website and you have some truly beautiful patterns (and lots of other things!) there. My favourite though would be the Happiness Bolster Cushion. I've added you to my favourites for future reference!
